Measures

In line with the aims of the Foundation we present instruments for use in measuring the effects of war, disaster and trauma on children. We thank the originator of the Impact of Event Scale for Adults, Mardi Horowitz and Peter Birleson, the originator of the Depression Self-rating Scale for permission to make these scales available free of charge.

If you wish to translate the IES or the DSRS into another language we ask that you follow proper guidelines for translation and back-translation of these instruments and that you send us a copy of the translation in order for us to publish the version below for others to use. Please acknowledge the Foundation when publishing or reporting results: (www.childrenandwar.org).
