Masa Al Kurdi
Masa is a doctor of psychology specialising in mental health in the Middle East. She has worked to provide psychological support to communites in the Arab region devastated by conflict and war, as well as to refugees across the world. Her work focuses on strengthening the skills of local mental health responders while also providing individual support to people affected by trauma.

Maria Callias is a clinical psychologist, now retired from her role at South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust, where she served as Associate Director of Psychology and Psychotherapies for Kingston, and as Consultant Clinical Psychologist on a specialist Child and Mental Health team for children, young people, and their families.

Unni Marie Heltne
Unni Marie Heltne has more than 30 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, most of it in the field of trauma and crisis psychology. Over the past 15 years, she has delivered training courses on working with traumatised populations worldwide. Unni combines clinical work with stress and traumas with project management, and she frequently provides courses for a wide range of organisations.

Patrick Smith is a Reader in Clinical Psychology at King’s College London Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. He is also a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in a specialist trauma clinic for children and young people at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Laura Tomlinson
Laura Tomlinson, also known as Laura Timms, worked as a clinical psychologist at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for over 30 years. She applied her skills and experience from child and adolescent mental health services to support children and young people facing life changing or life-limiting conditions, as well as loss resulting from acute or chronic illness.

Helen Christie
Helen Christie is a clinical psychologist and former director of the Regional Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (RBUP) in Norway. She has worked extensively on traumatised children, refugee children in Norway, and children in war zones. Helen has written numerous articles and books on trauma, sexual abuse, and resilience., and has delivered training in Teaching Recovery Techniques (TRT) the past four years.
