From 10th to 12th of July 2018 Catalina Fracchia (Chile) and Unni Heltne (Norway), both clinical psychologists, trained a group of 12 participants, mainly social workers in the favela Complexo de Mare in Rio de Janeiro. The training was done in cooperation with the organisation Fight for Peace, which works to supports young people in communities affected by crime and violence.  The participants described the situation for children in Mare as totally dominated by ongoing, brutal violence.
