Australian study finds CRIES useful

An Australian study has found Children’s Revised Impact of Event Scale (CRIES) useful to identify children who require further assessment or intervention.

The study  used CRIES 8 and 13 when classifying post traumatic stress disorder status in children six months after admission to a pediatric intensive care unit.

The Utility of the Children’s Revised Impact of Event Scale in Screening for Concurrent PTSD Following Admission to Intensive Care” was published in Journal of Traumatic Stress.
