Manual for grieving children
23 March, 2010
Four experienced psychologists are gathered this week to develop a group manual for children bereaved in disaster situations.
Better treatment for grieving children has been called for during catastrophes in the past, and now a draft is on its way. The new manual will supplement the Foundation’s trauma manual.
William Yule and Atle Dyregrov have asked Marianne Straume and Frances Kraus, both highly experienced in the children and grief area, to draft the manual.
The group bereavement manual has been funded by Psychaid, a fundraising campaign by Norwegian psychology students.
