Our Gaza-based project, Evaluation of Writing for Recovery, reports that it has established a research group in Gaza, selected six schools and conducted random sampling.
However, the research students Silje Kolltveit and Ida I. Lange- Nielsen from the University of Bergen, who were supposed to travel to Gaza and monitor the project did not receive entry clearance from the Israeli Defense Force. Therefore, adherence to the research protocol is monitored via telephone and e-mail with the research group in Gaza. The latter consists of coordinator Sanna Sabbah Thabet , Ali Dwemida , Ibraheem Bakry, Najwa Hemid, Eitemad Moubasher, data collector Latifa Jabary and Mohamed abu Jarad and Mayson Abuo Khousa.
The project reports that it selected 140 participants to participate in the project in November, and the writing intervention went ahead as planned in November and December for both the experimental and control group.
